I am interested in one. You should hit up BluntTech and see if you can get him to sell for you as well, increase the volume!

-Do they stay on for unswitched 12V fuses even when the car is off?
-Are they on only when their fuses are intact, only when blown, or a different color when intact than when blown?
Galahad wrote: Apr 09, 2021 11:49 AMThere's a master switch for the LEDs between the spares and fuse 4 so you can turn them off when you're not using them.
Each LED only turns on when the associated fuse has power - green when the fuse is good and red when it's blown.
I'm going to take a wild guess and say that if the fuse blows and has no load on it, the LED shows yellow instead of red.
And yes, I'd like one (depending on the price).

The LEDs can be either green (good fuse), red (blown fuse), or off (unpowered fuse) - there's no load detection in the fuse status circuitry.

Galahad:
Noted that I've signed up for one of these.
Question: are there any wiring or circuit layout differences between what you and cek have laid out and the fusebox/wiring for the S38 M5?
Since The Plan is to install this in Lucifer's Hammer, if there are differences, is there any way you can identify/list what those might be?

The more information we have up front, the less likely something will get honked up . . . ;)
Based on what's in the thread, this looks like The Hot Setup.

Cheers,
Ken H.

Hi everybody,
I've been working through my punch list of changes for the production version. I've got many of the big ones done, but I'm waiting on some different part options to ship in before I can finish up.
AdamC wrote: Apr 10, 2021 9:39 AM I'm keen too, plz. Assuming you'll ship internationally?
I've never done that before but I'm certainly willing to try.

The only known difference between any e28 fuse boxes is that US cars have a shared power supply for fuses 7 and 8 and euro cars do not; my design can do either. See this thread for more details.
In any event the instructions will include a list of all known potential differences to avoid headaches during / after installation.
Edit: As another data point, my friend's Canadian M5 has the standard US fuse box based on the photo he sent me.

Thank you!

I have a box full of those stupid things and I haven't even converted all my cars yet - my life's work may be singlehandedly crashing the market for used bullet fuses.

Hi all,
The product design has been finalized - I'm waiting on the first batch of pre-production units to check over but I'm not anticipating any problems.

I've formed a company so I can more easily sell these (and future projects). Go ahead and bookmark HolyGrailLabs.com, that's where everything will be available once I'm ready to start taking orders.

I know the question of the hour is "How much will these cost?" but you're all going to have to hold tight a bit longer on that one.

I've gotten this question a couple times so I thought I'd clarify: the website says "sold out" at the moment as a placeholder, preorders haven't actually started yet. I'll post here when preorders go live.

As a status update: the manufacturer ran into some issues (the part is quite difficult to assemble) but it looks like these have been resolved, I should have the sample units in about a week. We're getting close!

Hi everyone!

Yikes I wish I had seen this earlier, I have my 1987 e28 535is in the shop now for electrical check-ups (possible rodent damage), I would have totally ordered one of these! would have been perfect timing

Anyone know if there is a chance it may become available again in the near future? (the website says its sold out)

They haven’t sold any yet. See post from Galahad, 4 posts above yours. They’re still in the works.
