Advise if we can promote a speedy return to the national discount e28/vintage BMW business to your management. If public support for such an investment can help to make it a reality, then let us know who to write or call. Many of us have come to value not only your service but the prompt and accurate access to vintage BMW OEM parts (MicahO ^)
The website approach is well conceived. We've come to rely on you personally, Brian, but the rest of the staff there could be nearly as helpful with your training/coaching. We (purchasers) could cut out a lot of your personal handling time by being able to link to an order desk on-line, allowing you and the staff more time there at the counter or in the packaging room filling orders.
Thanks for all you've done for the Mye28.com members and for my e28s!

Thank you for everything you've done for the community. This is unfortunate news as I've always just called you for everything. I look forward to the return of the program.

Thanks Brian, I really appreciate the efforts you went through to help me up here in the north.
Can we still get parts numbers from you? Sometimes when I look on Realoem I can't find what I'm looking for and the local dealer has no clue or desire to help.

Thank you Brian, even though I didn't order a ton of stuff from you yet.
At least any time anyone of us sees you there will probably be a free beer for you

Brian,
What everyone else has said, and then some. Thanks to you, I was able to afford a new m-tech kit/bumpers.
There WILL be a time when me meet, and you had better be off work the next day, because you're going to have a free headache, beer induced or
daquiris.
Thanks dood!

Brian,
Always a pleasure to deal with you at the Parts Department of BMW of CHA. I suspect you'll be back, hopefully sooner than you think and with that shiny new website you were mentioning. I'm only sorry I didn't get my last order in before this news. Hang in there buddy. We appreciate all your efforts to keep our cars rolling. There's nothing quite like the warm glow of new parts from the Parts Department. Always a welcome site...

Chattanooga BMW has also been advertising in the back of the Roundel. I'm wondering if the other dealers are going to continue their programs or discontinue them...maybe the corporate guys don't want all these dealers selling outside their territories. Just thinkin'.
you say this as if the corporate guys actually think.
For example....
I needed some teeny light bulbs for my e36 obc, local dealer wants almost 12 dollars each,(plus tax!) I needed 4. Was going to be over 50 bucks.
Instead, I ordered from Pelican in Cali-freaking-fornia, for 2 and change each, and a couple bucks for shipping.
It makes no sense that insead of my driving a couple of minutes down the road, the little bulbs have to travel from germany across the atlantic, then all they way across the continent twice to make it back to me.
The local dealer parts guys says "oh but Canadians parts are traded vs the Euro, and the Americans have US dollar pricing" Who fed him that line?
If Brian would have shipped to Canada, (which was not an option for him - I accept that) it would have been even cheaper.

Brian,
I had just gotten started on my parts addiction with you, and it was good to meet you at The Vintage, but now I'm cut-off--cold turkey! Where the hell else am I going to get a NLA shift knob for my M5? Hope your back soon and thanks again. It was a pleasure doing business with you.

Crap, I was trying to place a decent size order just as Brian went on vacation, and now I just missed out on the discount.
Oh well, thanks for offering the discount Brian. Guess I better get shopping.

Damnit! That reallllly sucks considering I was just about to put in a huuuge order for all my synchros and roller bearings and needle cages for my transmission. I imagine it was going to be expensive even with the discount, now I'm just gonna get raped on the price for these parts
It was great while it lasted Brian, and I really do appreciate all the hard work you've done to help this community keep their passion alive on a budget. I have a feeling they'll come around and start it back up. And
when you do, you'd better be ready, gonna my moneys gonna be burnin' a hole in my wallet.

Brian,
Not sure how I missed this topic and terrible news until now, but I want to thank you for the great service you provided the Mye28 community.
I've been buying parts from you and your dealership for going on 10 years (with another little mgmt break of service somewhere in the middle as I recall)... I hope this shortsighted decision by management at BMW of Chattanooga will also be quickly reversed at some point.
Would it be of any help to forward the link of this thread to some of the key principles at BMW of Chattanooga?? Perhaps they need to see how valuable it has been, how much you have helped, and that it a lot of business? I'd be glad to send an email, but I wouldn't want it to cause a problem for you... if they were to think that you pushed the issue?? Please let me/us know if there is anything we can do to help bring this service back? Thanks again.

Oh god I hope you're not just teasing us.
Do you happen to know if you'll have an account to track everything and save your car, or will it be like an order form that you fill out everytime you place an order?? Either way it will be awesome. I can't wait.

Something similiar to this?
http://www.tousleyfordparts.com/partloc ... atalogid=0
(I also own a Ford Focus)
It's a TradeMotion based system like most of the other dealer parts sites. I only wish with the system showed part numbers. Maybe that's configurable.
Either way what I'm hearing is good news. Moar bananas.
