I got my box just fine from RoyW, and it had some really neat stuff in it. It REALLY made my day. The day I got it, I was kinda fiending for some Jolly Rancher hard candies, and there was a bag in there!! wahooo!!
There was some other food stuffs, but I already put it in the cabinet with all the other food, I forgot exactly what was in there, maybe some dried fruit, nuts, and one other somesuch.

Idsbeaker: As for getting the back off the watch... I'd take it to a jeweler and let them figure it out. I tried but couldn't get it either (was going to put a new battery in it for you). I'm guessing it pry's off, but couldn't find an edge??

Yeah, it was in multiple pieces. I tried to reassemble according to the weld spots. I will take a look at it again

A bunch of that stuff is "Microsoft SWAG" (Stuff We All Get) from various conferences and meetings. The "Mommy" book was a creation I drove as part of a marketing campaign; it turns out the book sold very well on Amazon...kids apparently love it.

The "shirt compressed to look like a remote" is for Windows Media Center.

The book, Trojan Horse, is by a friend and former colleague of mine at MS. It's quite good, and VERY technically accurate and realistic. I bought a copy and then he gave me a signed copy. I hope I sent you the non-signed copy, now that I think about it :-)

A picture is worth a few more words than I will write here, but here are a few highlights...and a few questions.

I got a good mix of stuff, ancient video games, a few tapes (I just put in a new stereo, unfortunately I did not install a tape deck in my car.) An old horseshoe which has to be lucky, an AR-15 clip, that sweet photo of Stefanie, but no number? Being a resourceful guy I did some research on the internet (coolest thing ever) thanks to the book (Easy Internet) I was quickly up to speed. Unfortunately Stefanie is married. Disappointed, I turned to those little black boxes, and after seeing the Twins National Geographic I expected the twins theme to continue, but instead I found Awesome Orgies #2 and #3, but where is Awesome Orgies #1? After 4+ hours of orgies I had some questions about the direction that the characters went in volumes 2 and 3. As we all know a plot line can be hard to follow without an appropriate starting point, though there was definitely a solid ending, many endings in fact.

I am sorry I missed Kelly and Keith's wedding, any wedding where they provide can coozies to keep your beverage cold is a wedding worth crashing/attending.

I was wondering as I was looking at my haul, how much of these boxes are recycled year to year. I know some of this stuff will go out next year from me, but I will be keeping some of the stuff as well.

There is one not quite vintage issue of Roundel featuring the ///M AT FORTY article, making it an indefinite keeper.
Not sure about the vinyl wrap pallette and Anti-Theft manuals, etc., well, maybe next year... Who can throw 'em away, right? ...and they are in really good shape.
One Griffin PowerJolt cord was included that doesn't fit any of our devices, so...
Included also was a red, why couldn't it have been blue, rag along with a tire tool that will find their way into the boot of a car.
I've already envisioned the oil can, "Made in India", so you know it's quality, taking the place of the HF pos on the garage work-bench,
or maybe becoming the designated "reverse" clutch hydraulics bleeding tool.
The BMW medallion will also find a unique home.
A 16 oz. bottle of Turtle Wax, I ain't goin' there, although I know I should. OK, I'll take the hint.
And finally, last but not least, is an item that will for sure see use, the 'Fender Cover Work Mat'.

Glad you dig the stuff. Couple of answers.

That horseshoe is actually a MULE shoe from the Civil War. Mules were used to haul heavy cannons and the like. I found it with a metal detector in the area of Fort Oglethorpe in GA. It was down about two feet in mud near a CW water crossing.

Quite the box, I should say! Lot's of awesome stuff, and all of them will be used. The M valve caps will def go on the M5 asap, the wind resistant mechanic gloves will be used next week in the oilfield while reading my guides to Oklahoma.... and gift cards.
