I finally bought the primer for this thing today so I might actually make some progress on it once this other e28 goes home from its euro conversion.

Just following this link - but the M system wheels with the turbines look amazing on this car! - I want .
How come all of your cars start out as drivers - get perfect, and then get stored back in your garage as projects n! :)
I am jealous of your garage.

I've never had anything anywhere near perfect, my e28 will be back on the streets soon though sporting white primer sealer on some panels.

I have been out of the loop for a few years after my 88 turbo car, but I remember your burgundy car being pretty damn nice... also your 635 was a good one too.... By perfect, I mean clean and sorted drivers....

The e24 was probably the best BMW I have had.

On a side note, I got a lot done on my e28 today, planning to have it on the road next week.

Thought that the car looked great before...... I guess if I had the shop like you do - I would be more inclined to tinker -
Here is my recent purchase from a guy in Salem.

Nice purchase, was that in the for sale section and I missed it? A friend is considering an E28 for something older to tinker with and enjoy when not driving his E92 M3.

Congrats, my car was pretty decent but had minor waves and dings that drove me insane, I'm a bit of a body nazi.

The ocd is a symptom of a much more serious issue which is uncureable. The answer is yes, I have been to therapy, I am a workaholic for a reason... keeps me off the streets.

Nice work, and lots of it too. Your right we do have the same lift. Do you happen to have the dinan springs still( from pg1) or are those gone?

I don't, they were one of the first things to go.

I am always in awe of your build threads (well at least until the inevitable final finish in matte black ;)).

I put the car back together enough to be street legal today and went cruising, felt good to reconnect with an old friend.

I'm so torn on what to do with this car, I think about selling it but the ordeal of that seems overwhelming and I hardly ever use it... what to do?

The Guibo on this junk failed already with less than 7k miles on it, I haven't had very good luck with certain parts on this thing. The only good news is that it's warrantied through the dealer.

Today, I re-rebuilt my shifter stuff, installed my new Guibo and prepped and painted the driveline. I'm excited to drive and feel the difference.

Within the next few weeks I plan to have 6 quarts of alpine single stage ppg dcc paint mixed for it, I'm really hoping to have the time to paint the car this spring so I have something nice this summer to drive.

Imagine a white e28, it should be pretty groundbreaking.
