Don't make promises you won't keep. He'd hold a grudge if he never received a spider.
I actually would be more concerned about him never receiving his drink...

Fo' reals. And there's no plural. It's drinks, right? One would just make me all itchy and I might start to walk erect. Plus, I already have a damn spider because I opened my snout when Knunger was posting about his tarantulas and he sent me one! (((shivers)))

Twistyman, I would highly recommend that you have a discussion woth Bo Black of the True Friends of Alex Von Faulkenhausen, who runs Mid America 02Fest in Eureka Springs AR. He knows the Tail of the Pig in AR better than anyone I know. I have been to that event twice and the roads are spectacular. He is a fine guy and always willing to help. Tell him I said hey. Tim

Eureka Springs is a fun spot. Funky downtown, good Mexican place that works for a group dinner, some cool little bars and the hotel they use for the host hotel (Best Western, I think) is both reasonable and helpful (set up a car wash, gave us free breakfast, etc.) and near some of the best roads I have ever driven. It is, almost to Mo. at the base of the Ozarks. Last time I went, I flew into Denver, picked up the M5 I bought from Alpina Motorsports and met Blunt in KC (had some fine BBQ) and drove to Eureka Springs. On the way back, I stopped in Memphis (for some fine BBQ) and kept driving until I reached ATL. T&F Tampa, it is a 2 day ride. FYI. If my memory stirs further, I will post it up. Been a while.

Yes Tim, the Eureka Inn is a Best Western with two night motorcycle packages.

Below are screen shots of the the motorcycle routes posted on the Eureka Springs website.

For 20 yrs, I've spent a week at the Big Bobber resort in Shell Knob, MO. I would take off and drive for a couple of hours in a direction. Great area.

Yes, It is still not official but the start date looks like it will be the day after labor day sep 2. Most will meet at the hotel on labor day.
Its a two day drive for the folks from central florida and Canada so we are factoring that into the plans.
The week after labor day should be perfect and void of traffic and summer time vacationers. Its definately a slow week in those parts according to the chamber of commerce folks.

Geez Sherm, it just a hop skip and a jump for you! Hope to see the whole bad ass texas crew!!!

Change this to July and I'll see y'all there! Looks like I'll be doing a family vacation there a couple of months early.

Hope to see most of you at TOTD.

I've tried to re-register and it rejects my username and password.
On the site I can sign in and see the participant list.
Does that mean I slipped through some how?
