You'd better enjoy it quick before your alter ego parts it out.

I did drive it tonight, it feels like I have a new car as long as I drive it at night. I'm pretty happy with the overall outcome.

Time to clean the shed and get actual work done. Whatever that means.
It's funny how a failed starter is what started this whole project, oh the irony.

Great progress to see. You need some videos driving it to compliment all the pictures of the progress.

Just taking pictures is a lot of effort to me, it's unlikely I'll ever make any videos.

Having working reverse lights is pretty nice, they never worked on this car since I've owned it. While the engine/trans were removed I made a new reverse light switch harness and I replaced the switch itself. Everything works on the car now that I don't drive it as a daily.

A bit of evolution.
Day one
I've had this thing almost three years already, where does the time go? What to do next?

The heater core decided to start leaking today, YAHOO!
Parts car?

Nah, think about it as an opportunity to refurbish the interior. You'll need to pull the dash, which is probably cracked, right?. To pull tthay, the windshield. Put a new OE screen in.
I bet the heater fan resistor pack needs replacing. Much easier to do with the heater core out.
And there's probably all sorts of ghetto wiring from PO stereo installs you can clean up while in there.
See how thinking positively works?

The dash is cracked but it doesn't need to come out, the wiring is all in good shape, the heater resister has already been replaced. It has an oe windshield in it as well.
I think it's time to make it into a race car.

One vote for racecar.

I've grown up at the racetrack, so I vote racecar. We're doing the heater core and A/C refurbish in my fathers car its not fun. If you do decide to do it and actually fix the heater and go through all that, just take the windshield out.

I removed the ac from my car completely a few years ago so the heater core won't be bad. I just don't have the money to fix it anytime soon. I'll probably just mothball the car until work pickups in my shop or after I go out of business.

You never do what you say you're going to do, but always do what you don't say you're going to do.

I see a fire sale in your future.

I told you I didn't want to work on your car a few years ago. That worked out pretty well for everyone.

Definitely not, that would require dealing with the public, no thanks!
If I could handle dealing with people I would have sold this car years ago.

I did enjoy it quickly, put less than a hundred miles on it before the heater core went out. It took over 300k miles before the car got serious attention now it's suicidal. I have that affect on things.
