Love the mix of Hartge, Alpina, and ///M.
I have had the extreme pleasure. You will not be disappointed, grasshopper.tavern gnome wrote:I think this might be... wait... yep... it's my favorite E28 on the planet. Hopefully one day, I'll see it in person.

Well .. . yes. That's my bad. I looked at the last page of the thread, and saw what I though was a post of a motorbike and also a very clean engine. With the the thread title "E28 Porn" under photos, I assumed it was a submit your photo thread. My deepest apologizes. I see now the bike is a sig. HA Funny, I thought I was bring the thread BACK, not hijacking it.Sloppy on my part.
Sorry. I'll crawl back into my garage now.
Honestly I think this is the nicest/most badass E28 I have ever seen

for sharing the pictures.
That's what I was thinking. It looks like it left the factory that way. Very nice.wkohler wrote: Looks stock.
I believe I owe you a magazine (BMW Performance Magazine) as you wanted a copy! I will give you a copy, when I see you at Vintage, Also not only you can seat in my car but also I will take you for a crazy wild ride if you are up to it.shagrath wrote:I saw this car in person last year at Vintage with many others and I tell you... it has to be the best looking e28 I have ever seen, and is certainly a favorite. Maybe my ultimate favorite e28!
Sia I hope to be able to sit in the car if not ride in it this year buddy!
Whoohoo! Maybe while Lindsey is doing Brian's lady's hair!B7Turbo wrote:I believe I owe you a magazine (BMW Performance Magazine) as you wanted a copy! Mark has already test dive this car and he knows what this car is all about, performance, performance and more performance, also according to him and other great members that have already share their thoughts regarding the appearance of this car, I am great full to all.Mark in Toronto wrote:The stock euro look combined with the modern powertrain is, IMO, perfect.
In sport mode, the throttle response of Sia's car is certainly more aggressive but at the same time I find it very functional.
The 3.73 diff really ties in nicely with the S54 which pulls smoothly at low rpm even in high gear and the top end rush of the little monster is very impressive.
FYI, not the first one, but rather at the same time, as I recall. Yes your friend finished first but mine took few weeks longer just because I wanted every thing to look and feel as stock.Teamasr3 wrote:Just for fun, here is the 1st e28, s54 that was built by a pretty talented friend.
Shnap! Teamasr3 was just tea bagged!B7Turbo wrote:Just for Fun, ask your talented friend if he was able to get the double Vanos activated and working with the original ECU as it should be or just deleted for connivance and or using some other after market programming , so the S54 is not only acting as a modern M30 lump? which would be a shame.
The polite and nice way to share your friends car would be to create a thread for him, if you know what I mean.
I like to think I have owned a few notable E28's, so I don't say this lightly --- this may be the most desirable e28 build I have ever seen. I look forward to a ride one of these days.B7Turbo wrote:
Few more official and my favorite pictures from BMW Performance Magazine!
BTW, has anyone noticed the Red Button on the dash (beside the stereo)? It’s the same M sport button as its located on e46 M3 steering wheel which was integrated in here as well (we call it Go Fast Button), that changes the ECU map on the fly so by activating it the engine will act supper responsive and aggressive. Its fun to let it go on the High Way but not as mush on street driving.
Appreciated Tim, hope I will see you at Vintage if not RTT13, that we could have some driving fun!m-racer wrote:I like to think I have owned a few notable E28's, so I don't say this lightly --- this may be the most desirable e28 build I have ever seen. I look forward to a ride one of these days.
He did. In March. You came in and posted a link to this thread, doing pretty much what you're talking about here. You never even commented on the car.B7Turbo wrote:The polite and nice way to share your friends car would be to create a thread for him, if you know what I mean.Teamasr3 wrote:Just for fun, here is the 1st e28, s54 that was built by a pretty talented friend.
First of all Chris, he has voice to raise himself if he wanted to know anything here and no need for speaks man.wkohler wrote:He did. In March.
