Post by derkbarrington »

Hi, I have no affiliation but since I know these heads are hard to come by, I thought I would pass it along.

I've been in contact with the seller who was kind enough to allow me to share info on his listing.

The head has hairline cracks between every valve seat. Here are some pics he shared:

those cracks in precombustion chambers are bad thing... may cause falling of chambers...

interesting thing is that corrosion... it looks quite much that water leaked in cylinder...

but this head is quite good what comes with cracks...
one of mine is many times worse than that

Think it is worth it? I'm contemplating buying it. It would be like 300USD after shipping..

Of course, I would have those cracks welded and machine the surface. The precombustion chamber cracks worry me and I don't know where to find replacements.

That pitting wouldn't create much issue, right? Maybe a few more mm³ of volume on those cylinders but I can't imagine how it could be filled in.
