I walked out to my car this morning to go to school, as usual, hit the unlock button on my keyless entry, no dice. So i figure the locks are just frozen, its colder than it was for the past week and i washed my car last week when it was 45ish, bout 23 this morn. Well i try the key, and it bends, im like AHH. Well i guess i was just tired and didnt stick it far enuf. None the less i got the doors open. So after work, i hit the unlock button, all doors except driver door unlock, hmmm, so i stick my other key in the door(switched cuz bent keys damage things), and SNAP. I'm like what! So in the end im left with a bent key, stupid thin keys in cold weather :@
How much is for a dealership to cut me a nice new BMW brand key, I'd just buy a blank from someone, but you cant really copy a bent one.
Here's what happened to the key-

With proper documentation (proof of ownership and ID) you should get out for $20 or so.

Sounds fair, I was rather scared of getting screwed...
I hate the stealership.

I got two black plastic head non-lighted keys cut at the parts counter for $11 and change (total, not each) with my BMWCCA card.
