Sorry y'all if my questions are newbie-lame.

I have an abundance of e12 parts from 2 '80 528i (euro) parts cars available to me. Is the in-tank fuel pump compatible with the 86 535i?

I believe the e12 based 535 was a bayonet fitting and the later cars were a bolt in , that would be the difference if there is one
