OK, I finally popped open my ECU today, to find a chip made by mesa performance. Have any of you guys ever heard of this before? I called Mesa, they said it's simply a a conforti chip, with a mesa sticker on it. Is this true? I emailed turner, so, I'm waiting to see what they say.

I can't answer your question directly, but I've been a satisfied customer of Mesa Performance for years. I don't order often from them, but I've always received top notch service and advice from them. :p

Mesa also has a good faqs section and other helpful info on their website. They have been around a while and I doubt they would lie to you about the chip as they seem to be straight shooters. They are not your ebay chip burners that some folks hate at this moment.

Well, I've found a few things saying that turner sued them awhile back for illegally distributing they're chips, with different tunes, and sometimes these chips were very unreliable. Also, I emailed turner, and I got an email back, and they want me to check and see if there is a copyright date on the chip, because they are the sole distributer for the conforti chip. We'll see in a few days, I guess.

I bought my Conforti chips from Turner, but they're not the sole distributor of Conforti's chips and Sharkinjectors, unless they're selling to Eurosport.
