Has full euro down pipes.
Going to go snag them and the rear head rests today, have to come back later for the rest of the engine.
Cant let them crush a hi-comp motor.

May not be as good as I thought. Engine looks like it might have been replaced.
It has 84 633 written on the intake in paint marker, plus "7ON" not sure what that means it is also on the valve cover along with what looks like compression numbers.
I got one down pipe off but the other one has stripped nuts and since I didnt have 12mm wrench with me I couldnt pull the manifold.
I'm going back tomarrow to pop the head and see what pistons are in it. THe head look very clean under the valve cover. The rockers looked strange, they were a grey color not the golden color I am used to.
No glass sunroof but it did have rear head rests.
I ran the VIN ,it is a euro car, But I can't see the pad on the engine it self.
Understood, but did the E23 come with both engines, too? You would need to either run the VIN decoder on it or just check the ETK to see if that VIN came with a cat or not. If no cat, it's the dirty engine.
If it's a replacement engine, it could be anything, but methinks if it's a BMW factory replacement then it has to be the same thing that originally came in the car, right?
