TexFest LSB&F IV... Oct. 12-13-14, 2012

Post by 1st 5er »

Dates for this year's LoneStar Burgers & Fives event are Friday evening October 12th through Sunday noonish October 14th, 2012.

Location will this year be back in Rockdale.

Lodging will be hosted by Rainbow Courts.
Their website - http://www.rainbowcourts.com/
The "Accmodations & Rates" drop down describes each room/cabin.
Their phone number - 512-446-7375
To get our event rates mention - BMW meet
Call and get your reservations in early, there are only 29 rooms left for our weekend.

Activities...
Here's the major activities planned for our 4th Annual Tex-Fest LSB&F.

Fri. PM - Meet & Greet registration party.
Sat. morning - Tag Team Road Rallye (you'll need a car w/ driver partner).
Sat. afternoon - Car Show and Tech Session(s)
Sat. evening - "I'd have to shoot you if I told you" entertainment party.
Sun. morning - Spirited drive.

Are you gonna make it out for the whole weekend?
If not, the Car Show and Evening Entertainment will be worth the trip out.
If you make it just for this part of the event, make sure your car is clean,
as showing up will automatically enter your Bimmer.

Come for the whole weekend and receive an event T-Shirt,
compliments of our sponsors, but you gotta get registered and your name on the list.

You can be assured it'll be a good time to hang out with your Bimmer, :haul:, and some other cool Bimmerholics, Image.

Registration
To register, go to http://texfestlonestarburgersandfives.com/Page_2.html
Be sure and include your T-Shirt size, as event T-Shirts are provided free of charge to registrants by our Sponsors
If you would please, also go to the back of this thread and find the latest edition of the list and add your name, car, and T-shirt size.

Previous events for your reading and viewing pleasure.

Read on...

My wife and I just got back from Rockdale.
We went up today to re-visit our host motel, Rainbow Courts, to settle a few logistical issues.
I've got to tell you that the website does not do the place justice.
When you drive onto the grounds you get the immediate sensation that you're entering into a different...
Never mind, you've got to go and experience it yourself.
The logistical questions have been answered, and I'm more convinced than ever that this year's event will exceed your expectations.
So, if you're wanting a special weekend away, with that special someone, this location and event will not leave either of you disappointed.

If anybody is needing to save some cash on accommodations, and stay at the host site so you don't miss any of the action, the time to act is now.
There are only a limited number of rooms left and only two (2) double suites left.
A double suite has 2 double beds, so it'd be easy to share a room and not have to sleep in the same bed with your roommate.
Both of these rooms also have couches, so in reality 3 could share the room cost for the two nights of lodging.
"The Cottage" suite is still available, which would have been our first choice had it been fitted with a king size bed.

A final friendly reminder; "corporate rates" will be discounted 10% when you mention "BMW" at time of registration.

So much to do before then. Struts, springs and wheel bearings just for starters.

I know the feeling.
I've been killing myself prepping for our Vintage & RTT trip.
Still not sure the E28 ///M will be ready, and we leave in three days.

You know I'll be there. Most likely in an E28, very small chance in an E31.

Geez, Sherman, you're making life difficult here. I don't think I can do more than one this year, but now which one? TexFest LSB&F IV or Mountain: BMW 4 Corners Meet and Retreat?

So many fests, so little time... :bawl:

I think "planning stages" indicates a little uncertainty in the schedule. (or I missed them too)

-Should- be able to make it pending actual dates being announced vs. some other scheduled things I have going on this summer/Fall (lemons races, GABF, possibly moving).

Likewise. We can be very hospitable. :D

October 12 -14 for sure, with maybe a special treat for Thursday the 11th.

I don't know about skipping two days of class. I think my professors might frown on that, but one day can defiantly happen. I'm thinking those dates will work for me. So tentatively I'm a go.
