my car won't pass safties because the emergency brake is broken
so i bought the shoes, pulled the caliper, and removed the single allen bolt from the rotor
...then the rotor slides right off, right?
well it wouldn't... i even went to town on it with a rubber mallet
is my repair manual lieing to me or did i miss something?

get a dead blow hammer and hit the hub....hard.... then hit the backside of the rotor face. And if you break it,call me.....I'll be glad to selll a new one to ya cheap... Seriously that's the way to do it, hit the hub right where the screw was and opposite there as well, then hit the back, If it is stuck that badly, they are probalby pretty old anyway, reassemble with antiseize

STOP!!!!
Before pulling and hitting any more, loosen parking brake adjustment (see your manual) which is done through the wheel bolt hole when oriented about 15 degree forward of vertical
