Sourcing the parts...

Post by 1st 5er »

... is the easy part.

What's on your shelf?

I'll go take an inventory count and report back.

Man, don't even get me started.

Wish there was more free time on that shelf.

Edit: some of my favorite pieces:

E24 manual window stuff
E12 based e24 lowering springs (40/40)

E30 rear frame rails (left one was last on the planet when i bought it.)

2 e28 center consoles, non AC, manual window type

Inventory? Hah.

If you asked my wife, she'd say "too much", and I'd have a tough time disagreeing with her. But it's all good stuff!

Tonight I added to the stash by pulling the smiley headlights off the e34; I'm told they're a direct fit on the e32, so that's where they are going. I consider them short-term shelf residents; they'll be on the e32 by Sunday.

Make sure you pull the plugs and a short bit of wire too. Youre just going to swap the whole assemblies car to car, right?

x2 I have a mostly used (but good) parts shelf. Also mostly e28. But if anyone in an early 80's to early 90's BMW breaks down in front of my house, there would be no need to go the the parts store to get it properly repaired and back on the road (and upgraded at the same time).

I have a M90 and a set of 16x8.5 et13 Ronal ACT LS. Both are rough and awaiting love/money. Other than that, it's just random, mostly useless shit.
