BMW Seattle Concours - PICS!

Post by tig »

My family will be going to this tomorrow. I plan on putting Vlad into the Display Class (it's not really ready, but it's clean).

Who else is going to be there?

Congrats to you for entering Vlad in this show, although from the pics I've seen posted here the car is probably already ready to compete in clean or super clean judging. Don't be surprised if you get the "concours bug" and start purchasing your Q Tips by the pallet. Or perhaps that bug is already with you?

Please take pics at the event and share them with us! :alright:

I plan on taking lots of photos.

I'm not new to showing off cars. I've got a few pieces of hardware for showing off my 911. It is a garage queen and is capable of winning.

Vlad, on the other hand is a daily driver. While clean, it will never be concours clean.

Event was great! My son & I got there at about 9:45. The weather cooperated and stayed cool & overcast all morning. We bolted at about 12:30 to go watch the US Men's soccer game.

Vlad showed very nicely I think:

It was nice getting to meet Paul and Joel, and Mike in Seattle dropped by to get me my injectors for my B35 project.

Saw some lovely cars. Joel's M54 powered E28 was my favorite car of the show, but Brian's '91 E34 M5 ranked right up there. I also got some drool over the black E34 M5 Touring that showed up.

Pics from the event.

My wife & daughter showed up around 11:45 and I was able to show them what an E9 was. I've ranted and raved about how I'm going to own one someday, but they really had no clue what I was talking about. They both loved this car:

This is just to awesome not to share.

My almost 20 year old daughter was at the show today. She was bugging me about the teal E9 and asking tons of questions about it. Tonight I noticed she posted this on FB:

She is her daddy's daughter, for sure.

Thanks for the pics! Great looking event with loads of eye candy in attendance. Glad to see the E9 has worked its magic on other observer - your daughter.

Vlad represented the E28 very well.
