Autum Shots

Post by vinceg101 »

While we were wrapping up and winding down at SoCal Vintage this past Saturday, I wanted to make sure I took some new pictures of the M535i.
I spotted these wonderful Sycamore trees in the far corner and knew it was the ideal backdrop:

This was the tree and backdrop in its' entirety; a perfect fall scene (never mind it was at least 80 degrees out there in the roasting sun):

There is this wonderful long continuous wall along the back of the park area. The stone veneer, trees in the Japanese gardens on the other side and grass make for a great canvas:

Chris Kohler and I were shooting both our cars here; I managed to get a few decent ones of his Alpina (the other real good one is in the Meet's thread stickied in GD):

I liked the composition of this shot the best between our cars, but hated that ugly little Toyota pickup in the background hanging out with the E30 crowd. I didn't see it until I took the shot and then realized that there was no way to get the shot without it being there. I now realize there really isn't a way to PS it out either (at least not cleanly):

Just clone stamp one of those trees and add a "Bush" where the Toyota is ;)

AH: Thanks for that, I'll give it a shot. I want to salvage that shot anyway.
