I'm not an expert on the various shades of green BMW offered. Someone please identify for us. It does have black interior.

Hope they don't crash it!!

Thought someone might enjoy seeing it.

Have you ever seen a mission impossible movie?! They are more than likely going to beat the shit out of that car! Not sure I can watch

Tires/wheels seem wider than stock + Large toolkit = perhaps 535 / M5?
No rear headrests, no light wiper/washer, no aero package = perhaps not M5? Rear headrests might have been removed for the shoot.
Both interior / exterior look pretty good.

This might help me stomach Tom Cruise for a few seconds of screen time. That is- if, and only if, they don't wreck the car.

While most details of the new film remain unknown, it has been reported thrill-seeker Tom will perform the biggest stunt seen to date in his career
Skydance Media CEO David Ellison told Collider of his big stunt: 'It is absolutely unbelievable—he’s been training for a year
I assume he will be changing out the heater core or changing out the rear subframe bushings in the e28... :D

I just hope that they will do like the Bourne Supremacy, and feature it without damaging it. It looks like it is in very good condition.

I think it's going to be missing a tow hook cover or two before shooting is over.

It looks like it's being filmed under the the elevated Metro tracks on Boulevard Garibaldi and the crash didn't seem to be part of the script. :(

A stunt double!

NOT ONLY THAT - a DOUBLE WRECK. That effing douchebag managed to wreck not *one* but *two* ____Grün Euro M5s.

On the upside - perhaps this will give the E28s some renewed exposure?

As for the cars, what happens to them? Will they likely be repaired as they must be well sourced, right... RIGHT? or will they be sold for pennies? Where can I sign?

So I imagine for this to make any sense, I'd have to have seen like the first one. :/

Having not seen any of them in ages then seeing the ones that came out previous to this new one, nah. All you need to know is Tom is an action hero, he's gonna do something to save the world/the girl/democracy/some kids.

John Woo directed the second one, I recommend watching that. Actually, he was the assistant director for The Boxer From Shantung, I think his first credit. It's pretty great if you're into Kung Fu movies. I recommend you watch that instead.

Believe it or not, the production company contacted me about purchasing the Zobelbraun M5 I had for sale at that time.

They did not introduce themselves properly and it sounded quite phony, even more when they asked about buying another similar M5.
When I asked why and wanted more info they told me it was for something special and they could not go into detail.

A few weeks later a customer of mine from Belgium (who’s neighbor was close with the film crew) was asked the same thing.
He actually had 2 M5’s and at least one was for sale. But when they explained it was for the movie and the cars would not survive he declined to sell them.
Even while the offer went up to 6 figures for both cars!

So, it could very well be that this Smaragdgreen (what it definitely is) is in fact an M5….

Two cars, same color. Both wrecked to some degree in different ways. M5 both? By the way, Smaragd Grün seems a beautiful color, haven't seen it in person.

There is no excuse for this, it's just as bad if not worse as the Rag&Bone ad where they crush a 911, or the Vampire Weekend video where they burn a Saab, or the movies-TV shows where they destroy Mercedes W123s... or the infamous Coldplay video.

Hi at all,

I wonder why that discussion is not going a bit deeper in general.
Or why the world of Car enthusiasts doesn't complain yet, about the fact that there are at least 2 original BMW M5 E28 beaten up or maybe fully destroyed
for the making of the MI6 Film "Fallout"!

Both Cars which are visible in the video's and photos, are showing all those typical/specific elements of Euro M5 with the DC91 Chassis Code.
Further on, the Director Christopher McQuarrie confirmed that the Cars were original M5 E28 Models.

I'd say that all is a bit too disrespectful since those M5's are an outstanding rarity in the world of Classic Cars.
What is your opinion?

Regards,
N.

Btw, it strongly seems that at least one car came from Netherland since it had a yellow Euro-number-plate before they mounted the French plate for filming.
Does anybody know whose Car it has been?

If the Car is an original "Platanengruen" M5, this would mean it's a one an only.
Because only one M5 left the factory in Platanengruen.
But it could be that the Car had a different color when the previous owner in Netherland handed it out to the production company.

regards, N.
