Supersprint rear muffler fitment question

Post by gwb72tii »

Getting ready to order Supersprint parts, and am wondering for those of you that have used Supersprint.
I am wanting to use the euro rear muffler, p/n 781326.
My question is can I run this without modifying the rear valance?
From what I've seen (Vlad), on euro rear valances there is a center cutout for the exhaust. The euro valance hangs lower also so a cutout make sense, but what if you run a non-euro valance?

Anybody?

I have one on my M5 and it fits fine. It sits pretty close to the edge of the valance. There's probably only about 1/4" to 5/16" of room but I have not noticed it touching. You'll have to make a bracket to attach it to the hanger but it's nothing too complicated.

Here is how mine fitted before the valance was straightened. It never rubbed.

The car is in for paint now and the muffler still does not touch, even with the straightened valance. I do not anticipate it being an issue when I start driving again.
