The Biggest Little 5er Fest - Oct. 20-22 - REGISTRATION OPEN!

Post by Kenny Blankenship »

We are announcing the 3rd annual Biggest Little 5er Fest will be happening in Reno this year. The dates are October 20-22, 2023. As of this time your Reno Fest Executive Committee is lining up the venues and we will have more information in the next few weeks including registration. Reserve a spot on your calendars!

Unlike past years, there are no major events scheduled in the area that weekend so hotel rooms should be plentiful! We hope to see you this year!

Update: Registration is now open! Please use the link below to register and/or order T-Shirts.

Cool! Might get a little chilly at night, hell, even during the day, but really it works better schedule wise for me. I'll just wear a parka and shiver.

Fun times at 1 and 2 and thanks to Eric for doing all the dirty work putting it all together.

I may have a schedule conflict, but remaining optimistic. :?

EDIT: All the optimism in the world couldn't overcome the realities of oversees airline schedules. I'm afraid I'm out this year :( .

Ok, finally registered. I always put this stuff off, which doesn't help Eric/Kenny much. Just an FYI, we stayed at Western Village last year and once more since then and found the room nice, rates to be reasonable for todays prices, and their steakhouse, which is expensive, is killer. Prime Rib in their coffee house wasn't bad either, but breakfast while not bad, is no bargain, but distinctly forgettable. Only a half ass casino though as they have no table games, just slots like every gas station in Nevada. You could do worse, I know I have.

Plus they're close to the venue.

Western Village is a local casino, certainly not like GSR, Atlantis or Peppermill. But the rooms are decent and the steakhouse is one of the best in the area. If you want a good breakfast, go to Sparks Coffee Shop or Los Altos Breakfast and Lunch.

C'mon you stragglers! I gotta get the T-shirt order in by the beginning of October!

And truck stop with truck parking and fueling and a good sized low rise hotel complex. Certainly not as fancy as some, but not a dive either.

Forgive me, I tend to go hot/cold on many things, love them or hate them, and in this case it's love. Well, at least like a lot.

Speaking of road trips -
Any other PNW attendees heading out on Friday ?
We are leaving the Olympia area just before 4 am Friday
Current Plan -

If others are heading down there is sufficient wiggle room in our schedule to adjust to hooking up with others

I5 south with a left at Eugene

26 black for the win (Roulette)

I have it on good authority that the rubber chicken will be returning. It was around in '04 in Sandyeggo and '08 in Reno it was in full drama mode.

If it appears on your hood or engine, consider it a complement. Bask in it for a time and pass it on.

Bonus question. How many in the pic can you ID? I suspect at least 2, maybe 3, possibly 3 will make it this year, 15 years later. Wow, I know of marriages that haven't lasted that long, since '08. Lots actually.

Hey, many of us are getting to the point where having hair is the achievement, not the color.

Id'ing the people in the pic, the woman I don't know, CJ (?) on the left, the dark complected guy, IIRC he was going to school to do physical therapy? Maybe? Then

Hey all…

I’ll have several of the Holy Grail Labs blade fuse upgrade kits with me in Reno. One for the auction and the rest for sail.

We’re providing a 15% off discount at the event and you’ll not have to pay shipping!

We’re also donating a unit for the auction.

Chat me up there if you’d like more info.

To everyone en route (or there already), safe travels and have a blast.
Bummed that I'm missing it but schedule conflicts prevent me from attending this year; I wish success for the event and have it marked in my calendar for next year.

Post pics please starting tonight.
