Car value
Re: Car value
Pics or it didn't happen.
Re: Car value
You've told us the mileage, but nothing about the condition. It's the latter that matters for most folks.
Re: Car value
I have a total of 2 pictures so far. I will try to get them uploaded tomorrow. It’s still in building that the original owner stored it in, so it’s not like I can go look at it or take pictures whenever i want. But I’ll try to get some more asap
Re: Car value
With the information given, I would say $500 - $8000.
Re: Car value
Any e28 with that mileage is likely to be a valuable specimen. I refuse to acknowledge the possibility that it was left outside under a tree or something for 30 years.

Re: Car value
The BMW 524td was once upon a time the fastest production diesel sedan in the world. Zero to 60 in roughly half the time of the Mercedes 240D. I also drove the diesel Peugeot 504 diesel of that time. I look forward to seeing your pictures.
I’m sure you know that the Lincoln Continental of that era was also sold with a BMW M21 turbodiesel engine as an option. The time was all about fuel economy; performance be damned. My 1986 528e is sure proof of that, though what was good gas mileage in the 1980s is achieved by way quicker power plants today.
I just bought a Lexus EV to share garage space with my e28. Zero to 60 in 4.8 seconds. Seeing the Lexus RZ parked next to the e28 sure makes you appreciate how tiny the e28 really is, though it was a mid-sized sedan back when bumpers were huge, headlights were round, and cassette tapes were popular.

Re: Car value
The car is now titled in my name. It does start, but to being parked since 2018 all the hoses and lines have dry rotted so if left run for more than 10 seconds it will not stop revving itself until it blows up. I’m at this point considering making a YouTube series of me getting the car running, or running more efficiently, I guess is a better way to put it. I have other projects though so I’ll maybe get to it mid to end of this month. If I do decide to make some videos, i will definitely post a link as soon as I can!

First video is up, don't expect much production quality. this is something I just threw together to get the series started.

Is the pump fuel lever stuck?
Unrelated, you should replace the timing belt unless you absolutely know it's good.
