Re: New Tool
Hope the pins come out of yours so you can use that tool. I wasn't so lucky. 3 days of hammering, torching, swearing, air hammering, penetrating oiling, etc, and those pins were NOT coming out for love or money. Had to torch the bushings out and do it the hard way, but at least they're done.
Re: New Tool
I know the feeling as I had the same issue with my car. Eventually gave up and had to cut about one quarter of an inch as the threads had damaged. Everything went well afterwards and I still have the two new pins/bolts in my small parts storage bin.Kerrvillian wrote: Apr 23, 2024 1:07 PM Hope the pins come out of yours so you can use that tool. Re: New Tool
The key is to drill down into the head with a 3/8" bit, which will relieve some of the interference fit. Works quite well!Kerrvillian wrote: Apr 23, 2024 1:07 PM Hope the pins come out of yours so you can use that tool.
