Hi.
I have been trying to figure out why my speedometer's readings are way off.
The speedo reads 10km/h slower then the actual speed im going, until i hit 80km/h where the gps and the speedometer matches.
But if im going over 80km/h the speedo reading is higher then my actual speed.
Heres what i have done up until now.
-Changed the speedo to a new one with the same K value 4675 (old one was broken)
-Changed the odometer gears, with some i 3d printed. It works but the odometer numbers
is not going by too smooth.
-I had the speedo needel and faceplate off, because the odometer numbers were binding.
-I have tryed mesuring the frequency on the SI board at diffrent speeds.
And when i inject a signal with the same frequency using a frequency generator it matches pretty good.
Although i had the gears off when i did this, but im not sure that it could influence the test.
The picture i have attatched is a mesuremet at 50kmh, without the speedo in and with the probe directly the SI board.
here is some other mesurements at different speeds.
30kmh = 40,9Hz
50kmh = 69,4Hz
80kmh = 108,6Hz
100kmh = 138,8Hz
I have read that you can adjust the speedo by changing a resistor with a potentiometer, but would that work in my case?
If you have any idear of what i could do it would be highly appreciated
