I plan on sourcing an m-tech (m5/535is) front valance, Decklid spoiler, m-tech 1 steering wheel and oem 16” wheels. Can any one share some pics of style 5 16” and style 29 16” on their rides? Any other info would be great if anyone has it, such as weight per wheel.

If you do a search on 'BMW wheel styles' there are several websites that have specs on most BMW wheels, I listed a few below. Unfortunately they don't necessarily have weights for all versions, but they're still a worthwhile resource to salt away for future reference.

Im relatively new to E28’s so forgive my ignorance. There is a plethora of knowledgeable info and helpful folks here. I appreciate it.

Nice list. Looks like the wheels on the pair I now have of E39s have pretty much the heaviest wheels. The 42s on my recently acquired 530i at 9.7Kg, and the Daisy/Star Spoke on my wife's touring weighing in at a mere 11.89KG. What's worse is I don't even like the Daisys, but my wife does, and did not like style 5's, and it's her car.

Whining time. When we bought this 525ita, it was to replace a 528ita. With almost brand new tires on the modular style 5's. Which she never really liked. So we kept the Daisy wheels with bad tires.

I found a set of Style 5’s in pristine condition. They are 16” and came off a 1997 740i. Is the off set the same regardless of which car these are from? Will these fit my E28 with no issues?

I'm fascinated by Style 29s. The day the last E28 came out of the production line, Style 29s did not exist as metal wheels on production cars (perhaps they did in someone's sketch or design pad or "for future use" files). I always wonder who was the first person to even try installing Style 29s on an E28. But, look at that car in that picture and try to convince me that it's not GORGEOUS.

The issue I always find with E38 Style 5s (one of the most popular swaps into E28s) is that the E38 wheels are 8" wide, and the widest wheels available for production e28s were 7.5" (for the M5). E38 Style 5s always, always, always look "OK... but" - and the "but" is precisely that, they are too wide. 8" wheels are nothing on an E38, have you seen one of those? E28s look like dainty little cars next to E38s.

They are perfection. As if made for the car and look so period correct. I keep going back and fourth between 5’ and 29’s. I love both.
