Imagine getting a call from the restoration shop that your freshly painted and nearly restored 850i had just been trampled by a moose. This happened at Schmiedmann's facility in Sweden.

That's rather unfortunate!

I recall seeing that on FB, pretty sure it was on Dave's "I Like That Car" group, and was like "OH SH!T".
Very much an unfortunate event.
Hope they've got good insurance.

Not that it makes much difference, but it's an Elk, not a Moose. Moose are bigger and would probably have done even more damage, but they have flat, not pointed antlers.
Now it probably didn't want to be in there any more than Schmiedmann wanted it in there, but once it is what do you do? I know I'm not gettin' in the way.

Not to argue, but that was a bull moose. You can see the head in profile in a few frames; very different than an elk, as are the antlers, and has a beard hanging under the chin. Elk don't have them. And it did plenty of damage!

You know, I think you're right. The body looks more Moose like and the goiter on the neck. The antlers are what I was going off of and they look more elk like, but that might be the angle.
