It was for a Nike commercial, I believe.

I can't see it either, but if it's the big soccer ball on the e36, yep, that was Nike commercial.

Just saw that pic on the back page of the latest AutoWeek. Apparently this car sits below a billboard with an action photo of a soccer (football) player...I assume it's not a coincidence.
