The 'Rainbow Connection" :D

"Why are there so many songs about rainbows
And what's on the other side?
Rainbows are visions, but only illusions,
And rainbows have nothing to hide.
So we've been told and some choose to believe it
I know they're wrong, wait and see.
Someday we'll find it, the rainbow connection,
The lovers, the dreamers and me. "

Ah, the Benneton edition. I've seen VW Golfs painted that way. Let's face it, not everytihng to do with F1 is cool...

Those multi-coloured VW Golfs were called "Harlequinn Editions". That was a factory colour
scheme!

As for the Bennetton wheel, well, when I worked for a MOMO dealer, I used to sell and install
a TON of them. VW's, Honda's, and yes, BMW's. E30 guys seemed to love the ugly things.

Not this e30 owner! %)

My idea of a wild steering wheel is one of the late wood rimmed models BMW offered. :D

Actually much later than that. We were still selling them as late as 94. I first saw them in VW& Porsche magazine about 89 or 90.

Al,
Thanks for the info. When I think of "The Colors of Bennetton", I think of the early to mid 1980s. Whatever happened to that company
anyway? They were an F1 sponsor for quite a while, right? I never owned any of their clothing but boy was in popular in my preppy little hometown in GA.

They're still a pretty big company in Europe. Think GAP, except more English.
