Millions and millions of dollars worth of cars in one spot........
Enzo anyone??

Wes,
You don't seem to get it. The value of a car doesn't define Eye Candy. In fact I'd rather see pics of a superbly built 5er , 2002, etc. These cars are typically built by the OWNER, not simply purchased. Anybody with the financial means can BUY an Enzo. However that same guy probably wouldn't have a clue about what to do with the tools in out trunklid toolkit.
Also, Eye Candy isn't just about cars.

Actually I think that guy with an Enzo DOES have a clue what he's talking about. The Novitec Ferrari is his as well. I'm sure you have to be somewhat savvy to modify a Ferrari.
His $45,000 Novitec 8 piston brakes @ 380mm and his 2 superchargers speaks for themselves.
Check out his ride here:

If a car worth hundreds of thousands of dollars, with hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of modifications on it isn't eye candy... I dunno what is? ~z~

If I had that kind of money I wouldn't be spending it on exotic cars. Too much variability, just look at the prices of classic Ferrari's.
Nope, I'd be buying vintage military aircraft as they only do one thing, INCREASE IN VALUE. Besides, cars are basically two dimensional (left, right, fast slow) where as aircraft are 3 dimensional (add up/down). You don't even want to compare speeds, you can buy airworthy supersonic aircraft for the price of an exotic.
And the cost of his brakes or his cars doesn't impress me one bit. He's just another rich guy.

No; to have a Ferrari modified.Wes wrote:Actually I think that guy with an Enzo DOES have a clue what he's talking about. The Novitec Ferrari is his as well. I'm sure you have to be somewhat savvy to modify a Ferrari.
They might speak for themselves, but they don't say anything different about a guy who has probably never turned a wrench in his life, let alone on this monument to money. His $45,000 Novitec 8 piston brakes @ 380mm and his 2 superchargers speaks for themselves.
You're right. You don't. You're too dazzled by dollar signs to see whether there's intrinsic artistic value there. In this case, you've got a pretty decent looking Ferrari (most of them are) that's been brought to the brink of 'riced out'. Now, although this one (below) is worth somewhere northwards of a quarter million bucks, that's not why I love it. It's completely stock and as good-looking as any BMW ever built. That, and I once got to drive it.If a car worth hundreds of thousands of dollars, with hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of modifications on it isn't eye candy... I dunno what is? ~z~
There was a red one at the Zentrum at 5er Fest. It looked mint to me.Originally posted by Rich Euro M5
I've never seen a 507 in the flesh. Hope to some day, they're one of the most georgeous BMWs ever built.

I believe many of the cars pictured on the site below would qualify as
"eye candy". Can't believe I saw a lime green Hemi Cuda in Hemmings Motor News
for $975,000 this month. WTF?!!! The market for muscle cars really has gone completely
insane. The Cuda is a neat car but $1million worth worth of "neat" I think not? Oh well, not my money...
