I've been on this board since Duke and Icehaus rescued me from roadwhy but I've never been able to make a 5erFest or a Sharkfest (work, life, yada, yada). Prob. others on the board like me so I thought it might be a good idea to start a thread with the cars, names, and faces of all the folks we've been talking to for umpteen years but never met. Here's me in a shot my wife took two years ago right after I brought the new 6 home:

DLI, no doubt! When I got my orders for Language School back in '81 I was psyched - going to California! But noooo - I was in the first joint AF, Navy, Army, Marine language school the NSA put together - great school, but DC is NOT MontereyJamusMcFamus wrote:I dont have one with my car, but here I am when I was stationed in Monterey, Ca.

Hey Adam,
I like that photo of us from 5erFest2006 during one of the garage parties. I believe that we were on our way back over to the ice chests after the creeper races
FWIW, I believe this thread has been done before. I seem to remember submitting this goofy mugshot
or maybe this one from 2010 or so?
Best,
Tim
p.s.
Beemters...this thread would make a good STICKY in the "Community" forum once it is more complete.

@ Ian's garage:
Red plastic "torpedo" dipstick adds 6.253 horsepower. Makes me miss my orange fan which fell apart when the clutch gained axial play.

TeamDFL was born around the same time as I gained experience autocrossing. Things went rapidly downhill from there as I started ripping stuff out and and welding stuff in.
