Somehow, I've forgotten how to use the 'quote' function! I tried highlighting what I wanted, tried copying and then hitting the quote button. No matter what I try, it always quotes the entire post.
I also could not find one word in the FAQ about this. Maybe I'm doing something wrong ( I have a knack for that)
How about a dumb question?
Well, the first dumb thing is that this ain't a technical question. Thus, I'm moving it to "Comments."
Second, for what you're apparently wanting to do, you're using the wrong quote button. The quote button below someone else's post will always quote that entire post. You could then delete portions of what you quoted, leaving just what you wanted. This form of quote will have the "So-and-So wrote:" label on the quote.
Third, to do what you're apparently wanting to do, you can highlight something you want, copy, open a new reply, and paste, then highlight what you just pasted and hit the quote that's above the post window. This form of quote will just have the "Quote:" label on the quote.

Chairman Meow, I am fairly certain I was previously able to capture and transport quotes without having to delete blocks of text. Perhaps I am mistaken. I just brought it up because I want to interact smoothly on this board. My primary focus is sorting out my 533, and finding the knowledge and parts I need to accomplish my goal.
Thank You for moving my misconstrued post.
