Might have access to 86 M535i. Has salvage title due to rear end wreck/damage. Body repair looks very good but only primered. So paint issue.
The rest of the car is nice - 155K miles. Rebuilt engine - must check to see if rebuilt to euro spec. Nice 16" rims and tires. Everything else works. Cloth seats are not bad. No sunroof - good for me.
So assuming everything checks out, what is range of value?
thanks for the help.

[IMG][/IMG] The value of an M535i has everything to do with the condition of the car. For an original example with no paintwork and a clean history that is documented by service records and by previous owners with under 85k mi, you could pay as much as $12,500. For a "roach" that has major issues (which I almost bought last year) you could pick one up for $2,500. Most likely you would find one that has been driven a bit and may have some cosmetic issues, but still looks and runs out fine, the value could be $5-7,500. IIRC, all factory ///M cars started with WBADC in the VIN. Hope this helps!

WBA is BMWs German manufacturing unit. WDS is the ///M manufacturing group. Back when the ///M535i was available they were not receiving motorsport manufacturing numbers. They were a certain run of VINs on the standard BMW line. This is also true of the ///M6, different serial number sequence for these cars but a WBA start, car made on standard 6er line. The ///M5 was produced as a chassis and stuff, then sent to GmBH M for completion and received a WDS VIN. Since then BMW has changed the meaning of ///M to M arketing and any vehicle that can get it will for a retailing advantage.
