I'm having a very hard time adjusting my passenger side door - no matter how much fiddling with the door catch adjustment, I can't seem to get it to seal against the frame tight enough to cut out the wind noise. While driving, if I grab the door and pull it in, it seals. I'm thinking that the rubber seal that goes around the door, mounted on the car body, looks extremely worn. I've replaced the door "buffer" and everything else looks fine - I just can't seem to get the door to latch close enough to the body to properly seal.

I haven't taken a good look at it, but is this an awful job to replace? I'd think a new one would make a much better seal.

Anyone have a part number? ('87 535is)

Another adjustment to the door at the hinges. There are two rubber plugs, underneath are 10mm bolts I beleive.

Easy fix, Johno. Come on down for St. Paddy's day...you hold the door while i adjust the hinges! ~0
We'll have all day to work on it. Promise you won't have to hold the door for more than an hour!
