hey guys just pickled up a prime set of early bbs wheels for the grey turd.(528e, daily driver) figure at his price (fuhreeeeeeee..!! ) they'd look good on the car and remain period correct.

but.........theyre friggin metrics. so.any west coasters have a set of dry-rot free , decent tread trx's they want gone..?

TRX's are actually a dangerous tire these days.

That's because most of us have gotten so used to tires with good to excellent traction, particularly in the rain, the getting on these slippery tires puts people off the road when they least expect it.%)

In fact, I gave a set TRX wheels with tires to Bob M. in San Jose so that he could tow a used up parts car to the recycling yard, that's all they were good for.

Whoa, there was actually an aftermarket producer of TRX wheels?? I thought they only went to unfortunate buyers of 535i's and certain Ford products! Pictures! Me wanna seeeeee!

There still is a manufacturer of TRX tires, Coker Tire Company still makes them and other "rare" and unusual tires.

I can get OEM Michelin XWX tires from them too, the only problem is price. These are 300-400 per tire.

Pat, I knew Coker Tire Company was still manufacturing Michelin TRX tire replicas (is Avon still producing their TRX tire??), what came as a suprise was that BBS made a rim specifically for TRX tires. I'd never heard that before, hence my request for pictures since I've never seen a BBS TRX wheel.

One for the ol' mental database so to speak.

I believe BBS made the OEM TRX wheel that was optional on the M6/M635i, and still available according to the ETK, from BMW.
