We were going to get slammed with 200 BS laps. They didn't open the hood nor did our captain mention it was a 4 cyl car. Some last minute public humiliation of the captain (by me!) got it knocked down to 70 laps. Considering our fastest lap time was 31.xx, 70 wasn't too bad. Our car was legal but they REALLY do not like seeing E30s, Miatas, and now RX-7s.mooseheadm5 wrote:16th isn't bad. They dock you any laps for having noch ein schiess E30?
You plan to give the car a mullet and gold chains? Maybe a little chest hair?
For some reason, a bunch of people commented on the quality of the cage. We built it to pass BMWCCA and NASA tech. I didn't really understand until I saw some typical LeMons cars in person. Some of that junk is scary.Tammer in Philly wrote:Too bad you won't be at Lamest Day. I'll be there driving a yellow CRX--fearing for my life in that tin can. We did beef up the sparse cage it had quite a lot, but it's still not as good as what you had in your E30.
Yep. The car we're racing was originally built for the GRM 2005 challenge, then re-done for the GRM 2007 challenge. We got it for $300 w/ bolt-in cage installed and a blown motor, which apparently is not yet fixed. :-/Ed wrote: For some reason, a bunch of people commented on the quality of the cage.
