just an idea

Post by derek29 »

Hello

Just an idea, how about splitting the for sale section into "uk" and "usa". Im sure we have all wasted time looking at adds in the for sale section that are thousands of miles away from were you live.

Thanks, Derek

There are only a handful of members here from across the pond, so it is not really necessary. It would be nice if people would put a state (or country) in their FS posts, though:

VA: 535iM for sale
or
UK: 528iA for sale

That might help.

Why would you think that? All of the moderators are in the US, and the address is .com, not co.uk.

There is a UK 5 Series forum. It covers all 5 Series, including the E28. It is at http://forum.bmw5.co.uk/index.

Hi,

I'm a bit of an oldy / newby to E28's. I once owned a brand new M5 straight from the London, Cricklewood BMW showroom many years ago. I now live in MA and a few months ago I rescued a black E28 528E 5 speed from a pal of mine in NYC, it was a mission and Tom has always looked after the car. It isn't an M5 - but it's still a great car.

With the collaborative help of the contributors of this board, it's now a much better car, I therefore think I should contribute something.

I've just completed some Facebook engineering for a bunch of clients, custom pages, tabs, promotional pages - that stuff, I just checked and there is no E28 Facebook presence.

If you want to get MyE28 out there on Facebook let me know, anything I can do is gratis as in free, no money.

I really appreciate the site.

One day I'll write up the 11minute 27 second drive from Hammersmith police station to Heathrow Airport in the M5, possibly the best drive of my life.

I don't understand why you posted this here, but it's an interesting though. I am actually doing the same thing for a company I am currently interning with. As far as our presence on Facebook, this group is the closest thing we've got. http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=2228068957
