Set of tail lights with clear turns - NOW WITH PIX!

Post by gray635 »

Guys:

Several months ago, I decided to take the B9 back to stock and replaced the tail lights w/clear turn signal lenses with stock rear lights. I have no further use for the old lights and thought someone around here might want to go for the "clear look".

The lights look good - chrome is in good shape and no cracks on the lenses. Comes with all bulbs and holders, all working properly.

Price - how about $210 shipped?

I can email photos to interested parties tonight and will try to post up some pixs here.

Just noticed I'm missing a bulb holder on one light - will take care of that prior to sale. Sorry for lousy photo skills.

Pix as promised:

Any pics of these installed on an E28?

I personally like the look of all red taillights, with clear reverse.

This is the only old picture I have of the B9 with the clear tails installed. Hope this will do:

Ah, the photographic memory of Mr. C. Kohler strikes again! You are correct, sir. I sold the clear front lenses to a board member who was searching for replacements for his euro front bumper. How do you remember all this stuff?????

I was going to ask you about them when I knew they were coming off, but never got around to it. It's not my thing, but it was one of those "I'd like to see it" kinda deals.

clear turns ripe for mod to LED???

Post by MisterFixit »

Mike,
Are those Euro lights, with the reflector insert in the rear fog position?

Those lights would be PRIME for an upgrade with LED panels in turn/brake/tail sections, no doubt!

Anyone considering buying these? Talk to me and lets see if you want to consider upgrading to LEDs for amber turn signals - I believe you can have this while still having them clear (no 'egg yolk') when 'dark.'

You can keep thinking about them. They're in my garage, but I don't think they're my style. If/when you're interested, send me a PM.

I don't think that Shawn D. gauge panel is your style either...

Of course you don't. You already have a Hartge one that you had to drill through your dash to use anyway...

Yes, my LEATHER dash. It was the most painful moment of my e28 career. One can never have too many gauges, especially with my current project.

PM responded to. These nice lights now reside with Senor Kohler! He might be willing to part with them, probably at a tidy profit! Gotta love capitalism.

I love MyE28.com and all it's members.

And I "hate" capitalism... ;)
