1985 BMW 745i- Turbo Euro Executive E23- Current CA title!

Post by CMG »

I have two E23 745i and I love them both but it's kind of redundant. Selling the car you see here starting at $4000. 1985 executive 745i in Arktiksblau and water buffalo leather interior. I am the second owner of this car and I have put alot of work into this car. Has new in tank and Walbro inline fuel pumps, MSW/OZ wheels with new Falken Ziex tires, fluids and filters changed, suspension parts replaced and has Bilsteins. Since it is the executive it has the water buffalo leather interior, full power everything including reclining rear seats, etc. Has US headlights on it now but I have Euro grills and buckets for it. I replaced bumper trim front and back to remove sidemarkers for a cleaner look. Has bronzit windows all around and bronzit glass sunroof. Car has around 177K miles and the odometer stopped about 100 miles ago when I pushed the trip reset button. I can get it fixed if that is an issue for selling. It has current California title and registration and no smog will be needed for transfer as it was done recently. Most everything works on the car with the exception of: a couple of the power seat functions, sunroof, A/C. Contact me if interested.

I made a vid but couldn't upload it from photobucket. I'll see if I can figure out how to upload a vid to youtube and post that.

GTFO, that's awesome!!!!!

You know, I just ran outside to see if my 745 has that option. I knew it didn't, but I had to look.

There's tons of various 745i options from back in the day like the Becker radio and Webasto heater, etc. The reclining rear seats and power options in this car are cool but I'm glad my other 7 has manual seats so there's less electronics to break. I'm not in a hurry to sell but it's better if I sell soon so the new owner won't have to re-smog, it's still under 90 days since the last one.

I kept the car for a while and did a ton of work on it, but I decided it's time to sell. I'll have more info and pics up soon, it's getting paint at the moment.

Car as of now has about 178K. New suspension, lots of hoses and parts replaced. I'll also be trying to sell a package deal that will include a bunch of the parts for the car like sway bars, strut bar, AC Schnitzer wheels, etc. More to come.

Took the seats out of my former 745 and retrofitted them to the 735. :)

Any chance that the AC was one of the things that got fixed?

Unfortunately I did not fix the A/C, I fixed some HVAC stuff under the front cowl but system still needs more work. I'm going to try to fix as much as possible before sale, but I probably won't do too much with HVAC.

I fixed the odo a while back too, replaced all the cogs, so that is no longer on the list. All gauge functions work fine.

Car is mostly back together, still waiting on a few small parts from Germany. I used all oe parts and replaced all trim clips and stuff. I replaced all the lower outer window seal rubber but the front right one is NLA from BMW so I'm trying to source one. SO if anyone has the front right door lower window rubber weatherstrip for e23 in decent condition let me know, thanks.
Send me PM if you're interested in car, I plan to have it ready to show and sell by next weekend hopefully.

I'm in the same boat on the piece of weatherstrip, but I hope I have a solution coming in today. I'll keep you posted.
