Wow Brian great price.
For those of you who haven't looked lately, this is what you pay for nicely refinished M5 wheels, not new. The shipping is also great.

Too bad I don't have a car worth putting them on anymore.

According to the Tire FAQ, M5s had pre-rolled rear lips to run 225s. Should I assume I'll need to run 205s on a non-M E28 to prevent contact anywhere? Don't want to mess with the fenders.
Thanks...

225s work fine. I've run them on multiple cars.
Of course, with your recent luck, they won't.

That's interesting, Stuart, but note that my E30 15" Euroweaves use a different cap than my 14" basketweaves. It's not clear from the apps that realoem gives which wheels the caps actually fit.

They fit the 15 and 16" RZs (4x100 or 5x120).

hahaha..... I almost spewed beer all over the laptop when I read that!
There seem to be a lot of E38 Style 5s on ebay these days. Maybe I'll just throw a set of those on for, oh, about a quarter of the price.....

Well, perhaps you'll enjoy them.
The E28 M5 wheel is the best E28 wheel there is. There's a reason it was on the M5.

While considering the advantages of R&R'ing mine versus simply buying BRAND NEW, NEVER TOUCHED THE GROUND, FORGED* BY ANGELS IN THE CRUCIBLE OF HEAVEN WHEELS, I am having a hard time discounting the idea of simply scrapping mine and getting these. Great googly moogly. Brandy new E28 M5 wheels? I must've died and gone to heaven.
*ok, forged may be a stretch

Most of me knows that. But there's also a part that says "by the time I've mounted tires, I've spent nearly half what I paid for the whole car....."
Of course, I suppose if I took real good care of them, if I sold the car, I could get decent bread for the wheels...
