My 528i came from the factory on Wednesday 1 February 1984. The first owner bought the car on Friday, 13 April 1984. Wednesday, November 23, 1984, I bought it and have had it since. For nearly 28 years, I have this E28 as many years that only run in the spring, summer and autumn. In almost all years, it has been serviced by the BMW service center and by the same person. Some years it has been serviced by me. Drive to different meetings and the BMW E28 to our meetings that I organize. The first E28 meeting took place in 2008. Photos from this year's E28 meeting will be posted on our website: www.e28klassiker.se. Images displayed on the website right now is from previous years. Will probably post pictures from E28 meeting in Braunschweig in Germany as I was on 29 May 2010. Very nice, it has been to visit them. Although our E28 meeting on 13 June was really nice.More pictures will come later, if you want to see more?

A few years ago I bought from USA a hat rack from E28 with the third brake light. Picture of it here http://www.autopower.se/galleriet/galle ... 307_S6.jpg
Brake Light has four cables of which two are used to illuminate the brake light. The other two wires, what are these for? Is it fog or what is it for lighting? It would be really nice to get to it with these last two cables. Will mention that to them last cables are connected to a small circuit board with a copper coil. ///Leif

On 29 May 2010 were we heading to a E28 meeting in Braunschweig in Germany so we stopped to refuel at a Shell station in Hamburg, where there was a man who was excited by my E28 and wanted to film my 528i. It's ok "I said, this youtube movie can be seen below.

Does anyone have an answer to my question regarding the two remaining wires .... what they should be? Anyone with E28 M5 should know, I hope. Grateful for answers.

Leif, great car man. I thought this was more appropriate in the Eye Candy section though, so I hope you don't mind the move.

The two extra terminals are connected to the contacts of a relay. The relay contacts are wired in series with the brake check relays for the other two brake lamps, enabling the high center brake lamp to be monitored by the active check panel
Here is the '86 model year ETK, the schematics for the brake lights detail how the center brake lamp is wired.

Hello! I do not know exactly what the topic would be on. Eye candy sounds like a nice place to be.

Hello! You mean the gaps that sits for towing loops? If you mean them ..... so they sat on the BBS spoiler since I got the car.

I've seen several cars overseas with 2 antenna (or antennae). I'm curious what's the 2nd one for & is this common?

In my case there were two antennas. It was very popular to have two antennas fixed on the one did not fill any function. Then I had my antennae destroyed by thugs. Then I decided to get electricity antennas for both holes. There were two pieces Hirschmann Hit Auta 5091 Chrome, electrically operated disconnected from an original switch from BMW E28 electric sunroof. Both are electrically connected so that I can lower and raise depending what speed I have and still have good frequency reception. I was happy with resultatet.BMW's dishes are made from www.hirschmann-car.com
