1986 Volvo 745 Ti 5-Speed For Sale
1986 Volvo 745Ti 5-Speed
Hello, I am trying to thin out the heard of Volvos so this 86 745TI 5-Speed is for sale. I bought the car with 177k miles on it and it now has 196k on it and some change. I am going to try to be as honest as possible and advertise the car to the best of my knowledge of what I have done to it. It has had an extensive amount of work done to it over the past few years which includes the following:
- Used Turbo motor with 142K, I installed new belts and timing components on it at this time; the swap was done at 178K
- A new set of IPD front and rear sway bars installed at 178K
- A new set of Vogtland lowering springs installed at 178k
- New KYB gas shocks and struts on all four corners at 178K
- Zimmerman cross drilled rotors front and rear where installed at 178K with new pads at the same time
- The compressor bypass valve on the Mitsubishi turbo was modified to stay shut and a new blow off valve was put in after the intercooler on the cold side.
- New bushing installed in the shifter
- Manual boost controller was installed and set at 8lbs of boost
- The gauge pod on the pillar in the pictures was also installed at this time which include: Boost, Oil PSI, and Air Fuel ratio
- Custom 3-inch exhaust was made and professionally done by a shop, it was not done with cheap autozone pipes that take a crap in 2 years
- The wing was installed for entertainment
- Blaupunkt stereo installed, sounds good and has all the bells and whistles
- Fiam Air forms installed and they sound hilarious
- AC converted to R134a but it leaks and has to be charged from time to time
- Typical maintenance has been kept up to date
- Rebuilt M46 with working overdrive installed at 196K, it was just done a few days ago
- It has a 3rd row seat
- Push button starter
The Bad:
- Paint has its few dings here and there
- The rear hatch is a semi-gloss black and doesn’t match very well (pictured)
- The driver seat is split on the upper portion (pictured)
- The dash has its occasional cracks (pictured)
Ok, The car currently has Hydras on it that are not bent and the tires have probably about 50% on them but I have a set of TSW 18" Zandervoort wheels , with decent tires that I had on the car and you can have the option to buy them with the car for an extra chunk of change.
All pictures that show everything can be seen here:

I have pictures of the car with the TSW wheels on it and the Hydras to help you decide.
Everything works, lights windows, window wipers, and the other non-sense works fine. Including heat, which you shouldn’t need right now, Ac needs to be charged. It rides great no shimmies or problems in that area. It is a fast car and will kick your butt when the turbo kicks in a 3200rpm. There is no rust on the car which is a huge plus.
I would like to see $2900 for the car with just the hydras on it and not the TSWs; $3400 with the TSW wheels. Realistically you could not build the car for this much the parts total to about what I am asking.
The car is available for viewing and test driving to serious buyers anytime, the car is located in Lexington Ky. You can reach Andrew at 859-797-1499 to set up a time to see the car or just to ask more questions about the car; I have no problem answering your questions as long as it’s not 3am. So please do ask questions if you have any.
Thank You
