Would be a shame to part this out. Someone from outside CA should buy it.

What kind of modifications would be necessary to make the front seats fit in an E28?

That needs to go to somebody in OR or NV. Parting it would be criminal. Yeah, AZ is close too, but I'm at my limit right now...so's Chris, I think "he's done".

I would fly in and drive this out to SC if I could get my bike to sell. No smog or state inspection here.

Hello all,
Not sure about seat conversion but frankly I would just go with seats out of a 5er. Do not really want to part out and may not if all goes well on other fronts. Can easily deliver to Arizona or meet in L.A... [headed there thursday] Evan 650-307-2251

Hate that it's Bronzit. Any chance the HVAC works? Where's the 1% of rust? Would it make a cross country trip? To Tennessee?

Damn, I wish I had a few $ to spare right now but I've not been working for too many months....I'd LOVE to add that to the fleet.
Just bought the E34, and dropped a "K" on the Volvo, or I'd hop on this one...

If it's still around in a month or so....

I really want it, but don't need it at all. Please sell it as a whole, it would be a shame to part such an awesome car.

Any idea what it would cost to ship the car to FL, 32615? Any chance it would drive across the country?

PRICE LOWERED TO $1,985 FOR THE 1985 745I TURBO!

Post by BimmerBrothers »

PRICE LOWERED TO $1,985 FOR THE 1985 745I TURBO!As pictured with EITHER the black or 18" silver ones OR ONLY $1,685 with a set of 14" rollers. Somebody snatch up this car. Engine, turbo and bumpers alone worth more than that! I have registration in my name. No title unless I pay $250 in fees. Will it make the drive back to Florida? Probably yes THOUGH NOT WITH ME BEHIND THE WHEEL! Just back from L.A. in a supercharged M3 [6 hours] and that is enough driving for me. All kidding aside it is MUCH better value to ship the car to your driveway for $950. [Gas alone plus plane ticket not counting snacks, lodging and risk of tickets/crashes/breakdowns makes shipping THE best option. So whoever wants it, do the old fashioned thing and pick up the phone to discuss details. Til then, Evan 650-307-2251

Is that why the price was lowered?

Thats interesting. I spoke to the owner the other day and he mentioned none of that. told me the car ran fine and that it had no rust.

Shame really but thanks for the information.

Your right, The Nose cone is off a Salmon/silver car,and the Hood is Bronzshit. I also can see something on the hood, That looks like rust.

Excuse me?

Post by BimmerBrothers »

....WTF Mike in San Rafael? That is NOT what you said when you saw the car! This is NOT a rusty car dude. Yes it has a slightly different nose piece with a scrape on the hood per the photos. You call that RUSTY?. The engine runs really well and smooth as I have been driving it all over the bay area for the past few weeks. I do not understand how you can say what you said in person and then post this here. PLEASE EXPLAIN! This is a sub-$2,000 car that the engine and bumpers alone are worth that. Evan 650-307-2251

and also.....

Post by BimmerBrothers »

...my friend was gonna buy drivetrain for his CS but I swayed him otherwise because then I would have had the car rolling around here undriveable. I am clearing out projects. This is a great running car that drives decent as well. I welcome anyone to see this car in person and tell me otherwise. Evan 650-307-2251

Looks like that '84 735i was hit in the front, it has the early 'shark-nose' front end on it.

Too bad, looks pretty optioned out.

Checked out the 745i today and it is most definitely not a rust bucket. There were small parts of rust that could be easily fixed through out the car. There were a good number of cracks in the dash but the engine ran great. Evan let me drive it for about 10 minutes and the auto trans shifted great and although there is a good amount of turbo lag, the car was pretty fun to drive.
