You might want to check with Peter Florance at http://www.pftuning.com/ to see if he can help.

Luis,

What is wrong with your ECU?
Have you or someone with electronic knowledge looked at it for cracked solder joints. common problem with all 5 series ECU's.
A rebuilt ECU from programma is $450-500 with exchange.

Photopark frequently sells them for about the same. He is on this board.
I'd be glad to take a look at it as I have repaired a few of these as well as putting a chip in a 533i ECU.
Let me know.
Can't have an M5 that's not running.

Leonard, your two posts are not showing the links but if i hit quote it shows what is there. You been drinking

If Gary or one of the others is not able to help; I can. I do not currently have any of the US DMEs at the moment but yours most likely can be repaired and tested on one of the vehicles in the shop. Let me know if I can help.

The surrounding the link is what created the invisibility.

We, Luis and I, had discussed having someone on the board who knows what to look for taking a peek at it.

I don't know what was happenning that day. I was posting from work trying to recommend Peter Florance as a resource to help with the ECU. I figured big brother was censoring me.
