Looks like a nice car. Just yellow high beams and those wheels aren't my taste.

Thanks. My wife really liked the yellow, and the highbeams had some surface pitting, so I went for it. I rather like the look.

I actually really like the wheels. But compared to some options, they are not as nice. This is design on a dime...lol. I wanted to use existing 15" tires, so my options were slim. These fit the bill nicely, and we do like the style. I would actually like to see a set of style 9's on this car, but money is not in abundance for more wheels. These were cheap, so we snagged them...

I can appreciate your opinion though....

Very nice, everybody has different tastes

I like the style 8's from the e31's: http://imageshack.us/m/42/5729/dsc0138ma.jpg

All that matters is that you like it :cool:

Looks like a very nice car :)... and, I like the yellow lights, and your clean & shiny engine bay... although not too fond of the wheels :)

Here's your car's euro cousin, with fancy "shoes"... see, wheels do make the car ;)

Nice Roy, I like!

I agree, wheels could be better. BUT, did you see what the car came with?! Lol. These were a cheap improvement over the ghetto chrome shoes it had.

@RoyW

Just stumbled on your thread on bigcoupe.com about your trip. Wow, great pics! Great looking car. I do really like you wheels. What type are they?

We are thinking of taking our 6 on a weekend trip next week. Would be about a 500-600 mile trip around Missouri. This would be our first out of town trip in the shark. Having driven my e28 to MN and back at least twice, I am not afraid of a road trip in a vintage. Having owned the 6 for a little more than I month though, I feel I am still getting a feel for all his "little gremlins". I am getting the half shafts replaced on Monday, so that will be one concern out of the way at least.

Thanks for the great pics you shared, was really cool seeing some of your journey.

Chris,

The wheels on my e24 are Fiske FM5s. Glad you liked them :)

We had a great trip in the car, as I'm sure you will too... enjoy!
