Some recent shots of my Euro E28

Post by Moose »

Just some recent photos of my car for you guys. The ones in the trees by the lake were taken by me my first time out shooting, so don't judge them too hard, although I am pleased with them. The rest are taken by various photographers, mostly from the trip up to Maryland recently for H2O, which was a blast. The car made the 1800 mile round trip without issue :) For those unfamiliar the car is a Grey Market 1986 Euro 525e, and has a 1JZ-GTE swapped into it which came in the JDM Toyota Supra/Soarers. The wheels are HRE 501s, 17x10 all round and were hand refinished by yours truly. It is also my only car and daily driver :D

These few shots are by Kielan Prince , and this is possibly my favorite roller of the car to date

The couple were by my dude Jeff (e34 Life) who rode up with me, which made the drive up much more bearable haha. He is also the one hanging out of the car in most of these photos getting rolling shots

That ended up being way more photos than I anticipated, but I did my best to cut it down to just the ones I liked from what I had seen posted, enjoy!

Gotta say that I think the euro e28 makes a pretty damn fine looking "lowrider." I know not everybody will love the car, but I just can't stop looking at it. The body lines on this 5er are just perfect. Gives me a tiny boner. ;)

Can you tell us more about the 1J swap? Sounds like something I would consider doing.

I can dig it. I like the E21, too. Mike's E9 needs smaller wheels, though.

I really love your car. It is definitely an inspiration for me and an example of what a clean e28 should look like.

Why is your bumper off in the split pic?

I think you need a new set of shocks and springs the cars sitting a little low. ;)

It is a pretty straightforward swap, you do have to cut up a few things to run the intercooler piping, but that is really about it. Custom engine/trans mounts/custom driveshaft/exhaust/powersteering lines etc. Nothing too difficult but it does all add up. Had it in the car for 10,000 miles now and it has never given me any trouble :)

Car drives significantly nicer with this wheel/tire setup then when I had Style 5's with 235s on there.

Looking awesome as always. There's no way I could drive around that low though.

Thanks guys! Also forgot to mention I installed my Moosehead UCA Spherical Bushings before the drive up, and that is easily the best thing I have done to my e28 thus far. Okay, maybe not better than the swap  but I am beyond pleased with them, kicking myself for not doing them earlier.

Fuckin' britchin bro!!! Love the massaging of the valance to fit the oil cooler. That black E21 is pretty damn awesome, too! Keep on keepin' on.

That looks ace, the wheels are a little big for my liking but that's just nitpicking. I think a 5 series is one of the best looking cars on the planet and yours is one of the better examples. It must be pretty awesome with that 1jz in it.
Nice one.

I want to see a pic with the wheels at full lock, I can't believe they won't rub.
