95 540i M Sport mit 6spd + fresh EDC-Turn key cond-SOLD !

Post by Sharkbite »

I've put this amazing M Sport up for sale on Ebay and CL.

Haven't had it long , but bought it from a fellow BMW nut and was owned by an even bigger BMW nutcase...so its had lots of excellent maintenance thru the years.

In April 2011 it got a full front and rear EDC suspension refresh to the tune of 3100.00. at GPS in Peabody Mass. Also done were new water pump, belt, and some other preventative bits.

Car rides like it probably did new back in 1995. Amazing what EDC can do to a stock height E34 ! My 91 M5 w/ Dinan SLS delete and Billy's did not corner like this and it was pretty low.

Its Cosmos on Black. Interior is a solid 8+. Everything works as it should except for the rear window on the driver side. New switch is needed.

Upgraded BMW M CD HU, built in K40 radar, ice cold AC, super Hot heat, front seats have seat warmer option, and both front seats work perfect !

Body is not show spec, but still very presentable. Carfax and 2 owners back has documented pics of a run in he had with a small deer which dinged the hood and killed the front bumper enough that a new OEM M sport one was sourced...so the hood, bumper and entire driver side was resprayed.

Its a solid and very good job. You need to look very close to see its not OEM.

Pass side is OEM paint. All hologram stickers are there except driver door. They peeled it to paint it and did not replace it. The driver front fender is a BMW Dot stickered replacement and it got too tweaked to re-use.

Tires are still fresh w/ 85% tread remaining and are 235 45 18 Yokohama S Drives. The M systems are missing the TS covers and could use a refinishing. No bends whatsoever.

Its got a Conforti chip from TMS and a custom 3in mandrel bent catless exhaust that sounds like a 90's DTM race car. Not at all like the Supersprint -Billy Boat low pitch stuff. This one is high pitch and it howls . Races to 7K like a stabbed rat ! Not sure if it will pass you state - but you can always add Magnaflow cats.

In 1999 it got the Nickasil swap done at Peabody BMW in Mass along w/ the 3 other official BMW campaigns...so its got 123K on the chassis, about 55K on the Alusil motor. No leaks at all. Bone dry and the 4.0 is as quiet as it should be at cold start. No chain noise or tapping or clatter. Soooo smooth.

Just to elaborate on the interior...its amazing ! smells like a richly appointed German office. New mats, carpet is very nice, headliner is mint, and sunroof function is the best I've seen. Door cards are mint...and even the factory BMW alarm and door lock is fast and crisp.

I did a full 0-60 run w/ both my Iphone Dynolicious app and a GTEch Pro....All 3 runs with a moderate launch ASR off yielded 5.2/5.3 0-60's. HP figs are at 309-ish. ...feels like more as I think it will run w/ my 91 M5 which put down a documented 268 whp at Pruven Performance's Dynojet in Milford CT.

The car is located in New York- 2 hrs north of Manhattan.

This is a fully turn-key M Sport ! all u need is gas and an empty back road.

First 7150.00 takes it.

Ridiculous price for such a well sorted Beast. So its firm I have to say. I can afford to keep it if need be. I should've bought the 91 M5 was considering at the time, and just recently that seller has lowered his price to what I had offered him before buying this M Sport. Truth be told, the smarter man in me should stick with this M60 as its w/o a doubt more reliable to run and maintain....but the S38 is a mistress that I've had and relinquished and must have again. I love the sound on the ITB's and I'm a glutton for punishment.

It comes w/ oem working HU, Ipod DICE interface cable, stock chip, front lic plate holder. Spare is also an M Sport w/ a very fresh tire. All tools and manuals included w/ radio codes too. Extra alarm batteries and the service records from the PO.

Carfax is clean. It shows the accident as a collision w/ a small animal...I have the pics for records. Title is clear and in my possession.

You can call me at 518 209 1920 if there's any q's I can answer.

I'll post more pics later....Photobucket is sooo slow at the moment.

If I could figure out a way to convince my wife that it's ok to have a summer car & a winter car, this car would be mine. :bawl:

My first and second BMW's were 95 540/6's. Bought the first one and sold it a couple years later for a CL 500 MB. That car didn't do it for me so I sold it after a year and found another 95 540/6. Only sold that to buy a 01 M5.

GREAT car.

Sorry gang !

Made a huge mistake in the description...its a full race exhaust, meaning NO cats !

Its a Y collector after the exhaust mani's into a Magnaflow mid resonator out into a SS Magnaflow rear box.

No H or X pipe to screw up the v8's wail .

Apologies to all.

So technically this is for OFF ROAD use only , unless you're like me and live in a no emissions state or area.

Nice.
The exhaust might be a bit much, but maybe it's worth a drive to see since I'm semi-local.

Myself and my uncle, MicahO, went and viewed the car on Sunday. It is in great condition and is a fantastic value, it runs and drives very well, its a totally badass car. If any one has further questions don't hesitate to ask either of us. I am very sorry I have to pass on this one, I might live to regret not buying it!

Nice damn car!!! The exhaust note is utterly infectious. Super-clean car inside and out, and priced really well. The thing pulls like a freight train, and I was lifting at ~5500rpm. It also rode and handled really well. It's been a few years since I've been in an e34, and this nicely sorted car makes me realize that I do miss mine.

I'm going to stick with finishing the M5 this winter, but I've always had a soft spot for the the M-Sports and had thoughts that I might grab this if dhracer did not want it. Not this time around, but it's a car worth some serious consideration.

Mike - great meeting you, and I look forward to crossing paths again soon!

It's about time.

;) Now I can stop thinking about this car and all the extralegal things I'd do with it.

Thanks guys....already have sellers remorse, but the M5 is where I need to be.

Maybe someday I can manage to own both.

FWIW- its going to someone who's served our country and is coming home in a week.

Great BMW family getting this car as his coming home !

Love happy endings.

Wish I had seen this before - would have bought it in a heartbeat, been looking for a fairly priced M-Sport for ages (last one I looked at owner was asking 20k and would barely move, the condition was excellent but I just couldn't justify spending that much when I knew the price was very inflated). In any case, congratulations on the sale.
