524td Repair Manuals & Reference Material

[Frybrid 524td]

Below are links to all the 524td related documents I have been able to collect since purchasing my E28. While some of this material is available elsewhere online, it can prove challenging to track it all down. Additionally, some of these manuals were not previously available electronically. I apologize if some of my scans are not pristine; the manuals I scanned are not in the best of shape.

The Bentley manual* doesn't cover the M21 engine and sifting through the archives on either MyE28 or the Yahoo 524td Group can be frustrating to say the least. Ideally, this sticky will serve as a central repository for all 524td specific repair material. I hope these resources prove to be as invaluable to you as they have been to me.

*The Bentley manual is great for any repairs that are not unique to the 524td/M21. Even though it does not cover the M21, this manual should be part of your library for all of the generic E28 upkeep you will inevitably need to do.

Hang tight for the files. Someone hacked (and I use that term loosely) my webspace and removed them. I am trying to find copies.

If anyone has copies of these files, let me know so I can replace them easier.

Are there any wiring schematics for the later E30 324td cars? Have a 6/88 324td touring in (with the very primitive drive-by-wire setup, no throttle body/cable) that has a weird electrical issue. A wiring schematic or diagram would be much helpful. Thank you.

I have a 324td with the electronic pump and have had my share of electrical gremlins, what's the issue. Maybe create a new thread so not to muck things up

I have original BMW shop manuals for 524td if anyone is interested. I need to dig them out of storage. I also have the original cord/wall plug for the heater. My wife's 524 was totaled several years ago.
