Need a go fund me for fuel. About 1200 bucks round trip since I'm thinking this one is going to be on your side of the country.

If you could figure out a way to fly into Reno or even Sacramento (2 hours away) it would be great to see you!!!

Thanks everyone for your patience! The website for registration will be up and running on Wednesday! We have secured the pavilions at Lazy 5 Regional Park! One of our recent Reno transplants, Jens Hillen, has graciously opened his house up for a Friday night BBQ! And we have finalized t-shirt design (it will look familiar, but with a twist).

Can't wait to see everyone again in September!

Here's the shirt design this year. The shirt is grey. I'm not telling you that I think the shirt in the photos is grey instead of white. Simply letting you know that the actual shirt is grey. Medium grey.

Is that the only option? I don't think I can fit into medium grey

 Eric got a deal on mediums.

On the order form, we have sizes listed from small to 3XL in both short and long sleeves so plenty of options to choose from. Except color.

I see, it's the Henry Ford approach.

Guess it's official: I registered and reserved the house again.

I will post possible caravan details, but I'm likely to loop through Sacramento again to drive over Donner Summit with Jay3 like last year.

Now if I can only finish the multiple tasks I started on the M535i before then...

Not necessarily trying to change your mind, but the 395 route is GORGEOUS once you get north out of the desert.

Yes the 395 is an awesome drive. There's plenty of amazing roads here in Cali. Every state has its beauties. My favorite is Route 198 from I5 to the 101. Anyone who has been on this road knows.

I concur on 395, even if it leaves Jay3 high and dry in Sac. (Sorry Jay) But to me, while I'd rather be on 395, the biggest bonus would be not being on I5, which varies between an ok, but busy freeway out in the middle of nowhere, and an incredibly awful, 70 to 15, to 55, to stop and on and on complete shit show. I once saw a minivan passing on the right hand shoulder at what I estimated to be 105MPH. On the shoulder. The passengers didn't look happy. Traffic was just crazy, very heavy and slow and it was flying. I get frustrated too, but I leave the shoulder for breakdowns or when I think someone is going to hit me from behind.

I've done the 395 route many times on my way to and from 5erWest and even did it on the return last year from this event caravaning with Jeff & Darin.
Depending on schedules, and if I have to work that Thursday, I may opt to do this still. 395 is one of the most scenic routes this state has to offer and I almost never tire of it.

Several years ago for the last 5erWest, I traveled north on this route to Eric's house and then he and I caravaned north on 395 inland up to CA139N at Susanville, CA towards Klamath Falls, OR. From there it was north on 97 to OR58, one my all time favorite roads; ultimately reconnecting to the US5N at Eugene, OR. The leg of 139 out of Susanville, CA climbing up to the high plateaus and valleys past Eagle Lake are awesome and worth seeing.

I went up 395 last year. Came back on 95 through Vegas. 395 is very pretty once you get north of Ridgecrest.
