Anyone tried forever black on inside roof?
i've wanted to change my tan interior to black, anyone ever tried using forever black on the roof? i think it might work well but dont want to try it until i'm positive.
There's some incongruity in your sentence above, it's not clear how using Forever Black on your roof will change the color of your interior.
Forever Black is for rubber trim pieces, I'd expect it to ruin leather upholstery.
The best way to change your interior color is to get an interior in the color you want and sell the one you have now. A good upholsterer can spray dye on the seats, but that's second choice I think. Although Pstportoveloce had his rear seats dyed to match the front ones which he recovered, black on red I think, and they look like they came that way.
yea well i wasnt going to use it on the leather, just on the roof, i dont know what that material is on the roof but it could work i think.
Since all BMW e28's had a painted roof, yours must have had an aftermarket vinyl roof installed. Do you have a photo of that installation? I'd be careful with the Forever Black on that as well, it's the consistency of black liquid shoe polish and runs everywhere at the slightest provocation, streaking the paint and so forth. You might want to test it on a small part of the roof first to see if it will do the job.

I was trying to block that image out of my head. I simply can't imagine applying Forever Black upside down, even if you pour it out of the squeeze bottle, it's likely to be one big F'ing mess.
But I wish him luck, maybe it'll work and we can all learn from his trial.

Did they specifically say they used it to change the color or to rejuvenate the color of parts that were already black? There is a difference.
