Re: FS: Sway bar reinforcement kits
I’d also take a set when they become available.
Re: FS: Sway bar reinforcement kits
Hi all, I now have both front and rear kits in stock. Direct message me if you're looking for a set and I haven't already reached out to you.

Any rear kit for the early models?akluminus wrote: Jul 03, 2018 5:06 PM They will fit both e28 and e28 chassis. For the rear, make sure your mount style is the one depicted in the first post on this page. Some earlier models had a different rear mount and this kit won't work with those.

Re: FS: Sway bar reinforcement kits
I haven't developed them, no. Haven't had access to that style mount, and to date have only got a few requests.
Re: FS: Sway bar reinforcement kits
Hi all, this is my very low frequency bump to see if anyone needs any front or rear reinforcement kits for their sway bars. Have a few left from the last production batch. Can usually ship out in a few days.
Re: FS: Sway bar reinforcement kits
Hi, I would need a set of weld-in brackets (not full kits) for front and rear.
Tried to send PM but not sure if it went trough.

Re: FS: Sway bar reinforcement kits
Apologies for the slow response, I wasn't getting email notifications, I think I got back to everyone, but if I didn't, let me know.
Re: FS: Sway bar reinforcement kits
Do you have any rear kits available? I have ripped out the rear mount on one of my cars.
Re: FS: Sway bar reinforcement kits
Yep, have some on hand still, try to keep a few around. I've moved these to a square shopping site here to try to get away from Paypal:Manny D. wrote: Jan 16, 2024 7:54 PM Do you have any rear kits available? I have ripped out the rear mount on one of my cars.

Re: FS: Sway bar reinforcement kits
Do anyone have any more information on re-routing the oil cooler lines when installing the front sway bar brackets? I have my car in the shop next door for the welder to do the welding of the front brackets. The welder was asking about the oil cooler lines and if there are any more specific instructions on what is needed to re-route them. I'm probably one of the few who's installed these on an automatic but hopefully someone can help me out.
Re: FS: Sway bar reinforcement kits
I personally haven't seen one yet so I can't be of much help unfortunately. If any of the cooler lines have hose clamps on the end, it's probably fairly low pressure and you can use a similarly rated/sized hose and some barbed unions, but I'm guessing a bit.

Re: FS: Sway bar reinforcement kits
They are high-pressure lines I believe. They have crimped connections at the rubber and tapered fittings at the radiator/transmission IIRC. The welder jokingly said "Cooler delete", but I don't feel like forcing myself to do another 5-speed swap. I would like to keep the auto on this car if possible.akluminus wrote: Jan 17, 2024 5:59 PM I personally haven't seen one yet so I can't be of much help unfortunately. Re: FS: Sway bar reinforcement kits
If I saw a few pictures, I might be able to offer some suggestions, either this thread or a new one.
Random idea: are the right hand drive parts on the same side?
On my v8 swap project, I was able to find a local hydraulic supply shop that could make me a new high pressure power steering hose by reusing the ends I already had (metric banjo). Might be able to take them to a shop and either get new longer ones?

Re: FS: Sway bar reinforcement kits
Everyone's sway bars firmly attached for summer drives?
I have some extra kits from the last run if they aren't!

Re: FS: Sway bar reinforcement kits
I hope a super-infrequent bump on this thread is acceptable. I still have extra kits if anyone needs to get their sway bar mounts fixed over the winter.
