FS- Pair of early e23 chrome mirrors (sold)

Clean pair of e23 chrome electric functioning mirrors for sale. These are full chrome (base and mirrow housing), I haven't seen a pair like this before. Both have some road pitting but overall great condition.

Dumb question, but would these fit an e28?

From my understanding the glass is the same but the housing isn't. These wouldn't fit an e28.

They seem very similar to the E24 mirrors, but I can't say for sure.

My understanding is that you can kind of force them to fit I believe that the six and the seven may have three mounting tabs for the mirror while I believe the E28 has to mounting screw holes tabs and you just grind one of those extra tabs off flush and it should fit that's my understanding

I'd love to try to make them fit my e28, but not sure I could. I'll have do more research on the subject. Thanks to everyone for the information!
